Senior Vice President for Population Health and Post-Acute Care Services
Marta Brito Pérez serves as Adventist HealthCare’s Senior Vice President for Population Health and Post-Acute Care Services. Ms. Pérez directs the design and implementation of Adventist HealthCare’s population health programs, including clinical integration of physician partners, care management strategies, integrated IT delivery systems, payer contracting and community engagement. In this role, Ms. Pérez oversees the development and implementation of systems that help Adventist HealthCare manage the quality and cost of healthcare delivery across the continuum and enhance the organization’s ability to leverage value-based reimbursement models that are changing the healthcare landscape. Since 2012 Ms. Pérez has chaired Adventist’s HealthNet Health Plan. Under her leadership, the Plan has outperformed all benchmarks. Ms. Pérez first joined Adventist HealthCare as a Board Member in 2009, and served as the senior executive and CHRO for the system for five and half years.
Prior to Adventist, Ms. Pérez served with AstraZeneca Pharmaceutical as the Global Vice President for Talent and Development, as well as Vice President for North America and Global Marketing. She was appointed by President George W. Bush as Assistant Secretary (Chief Human Capital Officer) for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and served as head of the U.S. Government Merit System Compliance Program at OPM supporting over 2M employees and thousands of Federal installations. She has a Master of Science in Organizational Development.
Ms. Pérez, a Cuban immigrant, has contributed her talents to many not-for-profit boards, including the Boards of Hopkins Health Advantage, Inc.; Maryland Health Advantage, LLC.; the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Advisory Council; the Montgomery Moving Forward Leadership Group; and the Montgomery Workforce Investment Board. She chairs the Montgomery Coalition for English Literacy and the Identity Youth, Inc., Boards, is a member of the Healthcare Initiative Foundation Board, and is President of the Ana A. Brito Foundation. She received the Distinguished Public Service Award from the U.S. Coast Guard and the Hispanic Business Management Magazine selected her to their Top 20 Elite Women.
She is married and has two children.
